Date: 29-30 October, 2019 Location: Pakistan Details: Internet services across the country faced disruption due to fault in two international submarine cables that connect Pakistan. There was a partial network shutdown in the country along with other areas receiving slow speed internet. As per details and reports, 50% of the internet traffic in Pakistan was shut down. After some time it was also reported that a third submarine cable also went down due to which the speed and availability was further affected. Internet service providers in Pakistan particularly Nayatel and PTCL issued statements regarding the incident. In a statement issued by both companies, it was said that the technical teams were working to get the issue resolved as early as possible. On October 30th, the internet services were fully restored in the country.
